V8 Supercars Round 6 Hidden Valley Darwin
1, 2 & 3 July 2005

Staged over three fabulous days in Darwin, the V8 Supercars are not just fast and loud but are eagerly awaited and appreciated by Territorians, interstate visitors and international tourists, of all ages.

Between races, additional entertainment such as parachutists, drag cars and motorbike stunt riders keeps the track full of action. Young children enjoy the roving clowns, free jumping castles, face painting and Life Be In It activities on offer throughout the weekend.

The V8 Supercars is a major national event for the whole family.

Over the weekend spectators can observe the teams prepare for racing in the Pit Paddock.

Activities and amenities for spectators include: free public bus service that runs from all parts of the city and rural areas, free car parking; free internal shuttle buses; giant Clipsal screens so that you can view the race from anywhere on the circuit; many outlets for soft drinks, bottled water, tea and coffee; a variety of caterers and food stalls; licensed bar areas; extensive shaded areas; round-the-clock garbage disposal and toilet and bathroom cleaning services; first aid stops around the circuit and a fully equipped public medical room; disabled access and a viewing platform; seating for those who wish to get elevated views of the track; Police presence; and a range of corporate stands with outstanding views of the track.

Hidden Valley Raceway is located five kilometres from Darwin Airport and about the same distance from the city's central business district. The Raceway supports a state-of-the-art Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS) track (2.87 kms) that features a 1.1km main straight and a challenging back section of curves and hairpin bends.
